Twin Falls – Springbrook National Park

Since our initial trip to Lamington National Park we have done numerous different hikes around Lamington and Springbrook National Park. They have presented some of the most stunning views I have ever seen, and I have found myself surrounded by beautiful nature in the most peaceful places.

Twin Falls Circuit is situated on the South West side of Springbrook.

We got up early and drove from Mermaid Beach, it took around 50 minutes to get there.

Twin Falls has been our favourite hike so far. One of the best things about it is not a hike that you walk to a certain spot and then walk directly back the way you came. Twin Falls Circuit is a loop, so you are not walking past the same things twice.

We started the hike at Canyon Lookout, from there it is a 2km hike, it’s estimated that it takes around 2 hours. You can definitely do it quicker depending on how many stops you make.

The walk honestly is spectacular, you walk through caves, behind waterfalls and visit 2 different waterfalls on this hike. We got lucky as it heavily rained the night before we went so the waterfalls were at full force!

It wasn’t a hard hike a bit slippery at times because of the rain,  we also got lucky as it  wasn’t busy we only saw 3 or 4 people the whole hike which was nice, felt like we were in our own oasis.

We always love stepping away from the busy world for a few hours, and emerging ourselves in a part of the world that is just a peaceful paradise.

I can’t wait to explore more of Springbrook National Park, the best thing about Springbrook is that it is so big and there are just so many hikes to do.

If you aren’t in the Gold Coast for long and can only fit in one hike, I would 100% tell you to do Twin Falls Circuit, I promise you won’t regret the decision!

Hope you like the following photos taken by myself and Kieran!
