Barefoot Barista – Gold Coast

Since moving to sunny Gold Coast the list of places we want to eat just keeps increasing!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day right, and since it is my favourite meal of the day it seemed fitting that the first place on the list has to be a breakfast cafe.

I had seen Barefoot Barista on instagram (where I find most places I want to visit nowadays, the power of social media).

My pick was the Crispy Potato Hash with bacon, a modern twist on the famous Eggs Benedict. The mustard hollandaise was so good, I have tasted a lot of hollandaise sauces but never a mustard one and I loved it, and nothing can beat a crispy potato cake! They weren’t stingy on the bacon either like some places can be. As for the coffee, this Melbourne coffee snob was happy!

Kieran opted for the Bacon and Egg roll. Looks can be deceiving with this one it was huge! A tasty milk bun with 2 fried eggs, loaded with bacon and spinach. He said it was the perfect amount and definitely left him satisfied. He polished it off quickly!

Situated on Palm Beach Avenue it is tucked away just off of Gold Coast Highway in Palm beach.

Recently refurbished it is a edgy comfy cafe with a simple tasty menu. I will be back to try some more of their delicious menu.

If you can’t get to Palm Beach they do have sister cafes.

  • Background Barista – Mermaid Beach
  • Borough Barista – Burleigh Heads

Although I haven’t tried there food I have tried coffee at both these places and was impressed!

If you’re in the Goldie Barefoot Barista for breakfast is a must.

Have a good day,

Jaz x
